A Major TBR: Slasher Girls & Monster Boys

slasher girls and monster boys

I really want to read this book. The premise of it has got me hooked, and I’m interested to find out what’s lurking within it’s beautiful pages.

I know what you guys are thinking: this book is quite different from the books I’ve talked about on here before. And you’re right. I’ve never really read a horror book per se – sure, there was that book Demon Roads that’s classified as Young Adult Horror (but it really isn’t scary – it is a very good book though) but otherwise, I don’t think I’ve ever read a horror story.

Here’s the Goodreads description:    A host of the smartest young adult authors come together in this collection of scary stories and psychological thrillers curated by Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea’s April Genevieve Tucholke.

Each story draws from a classic tale or two—sometimes of the horror genre, sometimes not—to inspire something new and fresh and terrifying. There are no superficial scares here; these are stories that will make you think even as they keep you on the edge of your seat. From bloody horror to supernatural creatures to unsettling, all-too-possible realism, this collection has something for any reader looking for a thrill.

I read the snippet on Amazon, click here if you’d like to read it too!

I would really love to get this book, but unfortunately, I’m on a book buying ban. I’ll post tomorrow why book buying bans suck so much!
