Series To Finish!

I recently rediscovered a series that I started reading a few years back, and I decided to read the final novels, which was such a great idea. I loved rereading the books I’d already read, and it felt so awesome to finally finish the series!

Which got me to thinking this: what other series have I started that I’d like to finish? And so here’s a list of them:

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1)

The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo

I read the first book so. Many. Years. Ago. I remember really enjoying it, and I’ve actually been thinking about rereading it so I can read the other two books, which I’ll hopefully get around to soon.

Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1)

Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo

Six of Crows was such an amazing book! I started reading the second and final book, but never ended up finishing it (it’s likely I got distracted by another novel, I won’t lie). But I definitely want to finish reading it some day.

Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1)

The Tiger Saga by Colleen Houck

I really enjoyed the first book in this saga, but never got around to picking up the other books. I can’t see myself getting round to finishing this series anytime soon, but I hope to in the future.

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)

A Court of Thorns & Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas

This series is amazing – the first two books are wonderful (the second is just stunning), and I desperately need to read the third book! I’m a bit worried the third could be a let down compared to A Court of Mist and Fury (it’s one of the best fantasy books I’ve ever read), but I think I just need to take the plunge!

Half-Blood (Covenant, #1)

Covenant Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’ve read all but the fifth book in this series, and really want to finish it! I’ll probably do a reread of all the novels, but I’m not feeling it at the moment. Maybe in the new year! There’s also a spin-off series which I really want to read, so I need to get a read on!

The Goddess Test (Goddess Test, #1)

Goddess Test Trilogy by Aimee Carter

I had mixed feelings on this book. I can’t remember exactly what happened, but I know I wasn’t overly impressed. However, I adore Greek mythology (it’s one of my favourite things), and I’m sort of intrigued as to where the author might have gone with it in this series.

Never Never (Never Never, #1)

Never, Never Novella Series by Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher

This is another book where I’m a bit hazy as to what actually happened, but I remember being really caught up in it! I’d definitely like to read the remaining parts to this novella series some day (though I’m not really in any rush to do so at the moment).

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

I always see such praise for this series on social media! I enjoyed the first book, though I did feel like not a lot happened. I’m intrigued as to what the rest of the series has in store though!

Antigoddess (Goddess War, #1)

Goddess War Trilogy by Kendare Blake

This is another series where I read the first book, loved it, and then completely forgot about it. Again, this is a series that features Greek mythology, so of course I want to read it. A reread of the first novel is actually sounding like a good idea right now!

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)

Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas

This is another series that I just see praise for! I did really enjoy the first book, but when I tried to read the second some months after, I was completely lost. I think this is a series I need to read all of the books together, which I’d like to do at some point in the future.

Trial by Fire (The Worldwalker Trilogy, #1)

Worldwalker Series by Josephine Angelini

I love Josephine Angelini – her Starcrossed series is one of my absolute favourites! Trial By Fire was a great first book, and I plan on rereading it soon! I’m looking forward to carrying on with this series soon-ish!

Storm (Elemental, #1)

Elemental Series by Brigid Kemmerer

I’ve always enjoyed books with elemental powers involved, so I was immediately drawn to this series. I can’t really remember what happened in the first novel, but I know that I enjoyed it, and would like to read the rest of the books.

And that’s it! What series have you started but have yet to finish? Are there any series you’ve given up on?

  1. I’m so glad that I did Sequel September.. My list of series to finish would be enormous otherwise.
    But right now it’s simple:
    – Ransom Riggs’ Miss Peregrine: 2 & 3
    – Michelle Hodkin’s Mara Dyer: 3
    – Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass: I’ve only read 0.5, 1 & 2 but I’m waiting for 3 to arrive.

Before September, you could’ve added the ACOTAR-books, the Raven Cycle, Lord of Shadows, Gemina and more to that list as well, haha.

    1. I should’ve had a look at joining in! I might have to set aside an upcoming month to focus on finishing series haha!
I really enjoyed the Mara Dyer series – I think the first book in the Noah Shaw series is being published next month so I’m looking forward to that, I might have to do a reread of Mara in prep!

      1. No harm in doing that! On the contrary, haha. Your TBR will decrease and you’ll finally get to finish those series you’ve been postponing for.. forever. :’)

I was thinking the same thing! But my TBR for November is huge as it is so I probably won’t get to it, haha.
